You feel the surge of emotion rising up through your chest or gurgling in your belly, maybe swirling around your head. Instead of spiraling down the rabbit hole of anxiety or shutting down and feeling the rest of your day being derailed, you’re able to take a deep breath and do a round of tapping, some breathing exercises or a few minutes of self-soothing.

You’ve pulled out of an old pattern, creating peace instead of being derailed for the next few hours, days, weeks or longer.

BEFRIENDING ANXIETY / CREATING PEACE

On Saturday, April 9th from 1pm to 4:30pm, we’ll gather at beautiful Sky Pond near Jordan Lake to expand our awareness around anxiety - what it does to our minds, our bodies and our spirits.

WHAT TO BRING: An open mind, a sense of humor and a willingness to learn something new, release some old beliefs and maybe get a little uncomfortable.

We’ll be doing some movement so wear comfortable clothing. You can practice sitting on a yoga mat and a cushion or a chair - both will be available unless you’d rather bring your own mat.

Bringing a water bottle or anything else you’d like to drink is recommended. There is a water cooler and the ability to make tea at the cabin. I’ll have nutritious snacks (some vegan) as well. If you have a particular comfort food you’d like, please bring it.
